If her arm wasn't looped through his, she'd have crossed her arms. Not in any sort of anger, or resentment, but in a gesture of defense. It's difficult to hear him talk about these things, not least because she knows her own death won't be far away. She'll have a decade, perhaps two, but for someone like Kurama, that may as well be a day, or a week.

"I am...sorry. Nobody should have to bear that burden."

Her voice is soft, but not tentative. She's gotten better with emotion.
